Tuesday Tips

#62 – The Biggest Obstacle to Wealth is Not Thinking Big Enough.

Most people are afraid to think big, says T. Harv Eker, author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.  Probably because it’s easier to think small.  But if you think small, you only achieve small things.  So scare yourself a little and try to think bigger.  Who knows what could happen?

#61 – Change the Way You Speak about Yourself and You Can Change Your Life. Making Your Words Work For You by Joel Osteen.

“I always thought I should be treated like a star.”  Madonna said.  And now she is.  You can actually change your life by speaking about yourself in a positive way.   As you speak affirmatively about yourself, you’ll be amazed to discover that you are getting stronger mentally and emotionally.

Become aware of those times when you speak negatively about yourself and make a conscious effort to stop.  Then take a moment to feel proud of yourself for how much you’re learning and how far you’ve come.

#60 – When Trying to Convince Someone of Anything, It’s the Little Things That Matter — How You Dress, How You Act. Zig Ziglar

People really do judge you on your appearance, especially if they are meeting you for the first time. So stand up straight, make sure your hair is combed and your clothes are clean and neat, listen carefully and pay attention to what is being said to you and try not to babble thoughtlessly.  Think of it as a way to show off your wonderful, beautiful, true self to full advantage.

This is the kind of thing I wish someone would have told me when I was young, something else I wouldn’t have had to learn the hard way.

#59 – Wealth Consists Not of Having Great Possessions but Few Wants. Epicurus
We Americans are drowning in stuff we don’t need.   Buying things you don’t need takes up a lot of life energy that could be used to buy your freedom from debt, among other things.   Next time you go shopping, ask yourself if what you are purchasing is a want or a need.  If it’s a want, think twice about what it’s actually costing you.

#58 – When you do all the talking you only learn what you already know.
