Water helps to reduce inflamation in the body and extend life. A German study also found that drinking 17 ounces of water (a little more than two cups) can increase calorie-blasting 24 percent. The general recommendation is to drink eight eight ounce glasses of liquid every day. My own personal regime is to start the day with two glasses of water followed with a good cup of coffee as a reward.
