#53 – “Perform every act as if it were the only thing in the world that matters.” Power! How to Get it, How to use it by Michael Korda.

Every day I make the bed and clean the bedroom.  I have a severe dust allergy so it’s important that I do this.   I’m no fan of house cleaning but one day, I decided to clear my mind of its usual clutter and focus my entire attention on cleaning the bedroom.  To my surprise, I actually enjoyed cleaning the bedroom.  The end result of having a clean, uncluttered, peaceful place to relax was wonderful too.  I’m not perfect at this by any means, but when I act like everything I do matters, life takes on a nice luster it doesn’t have otherwise. Who knew?

About sand1

When I was young, I made a lot of bad choices. The only way I knew to dig myself and my family out was to go to the library, always hoping that the next book I read would change my life and thankfully, often many of them did. Out of gratitude for the happy life I have now, I decided to share what I have learned, and continue to learn. I hope that Tuesday Tips helps you as much as they have helped and continue to help me.
