#165 – The person who is the best controlled wins – from: Winning, the Psychology of Competition by Stuart H. Walker

Mental toughness means being realistic, unemotional, rational and focusing your attention on what matters.  It’s also important to be able to relax because it’s extremely difficult to be successful in a state of tension and fear.  It may help to approach the deal as if it won’t work, then you won’t become so emotionally committed, can have some fun and still be realistic.

Something to remember. No one can make you feel negative, angry or inferior without your permission.

About sand1

When I was young, I made a lot of bad choices. The only way I knew to dig myself and my family out was to go to the library, always hoping that the next book I read would change my life and thankfully, often many of them did. Out of gratitude for the happy life I have now, I decided to share what I have learned, and continue to learn. I hope that Tuesday Tips helps you as much as they have helped and continue to help me.
