#167 – You can feel your emotions and not act on them. Kali Munro, Psychotherapist

Focusing your attention on your negative emotions strengthens them. One of the methods used in trauma therapy for crime victims is to allow the emotion to take hold, acknowledge it, then turn the attention back to whatever the person was doing initially. Turns out if you don’t feed your negative emotions or fight them, often they will go away on their own.
