#178 – What weakens us is feeling offended by the deeds and misdeeds of others. Our self importance requires that we spend most of our lives offended by someone.

When we are oversensitive or harbor resentments, we can probably make a good case and justify our actions.  Perhaps we are in the right and they are in the wrong, but we may also just be upset over something that’s not worth the energy.  An interesting question to ask yourself is would you rather be right in this particular case or would you rather be peaceful.

 Happy summer,

About sand1

When I was young, I made a lot of bad choices. The only way I knew to dig myself and my family out was to go to the library, always hoping that the next book I read would change my life and thankfully, often many of them did. Out of gratitude for the happy life I have now, I decided to share what I have learned, and continue to learn. I hope that Tuesday Tips helps you as much as they have helped and continue to help me.
